How far along? 36 weeks and 5 days today.
Total weight gain/loss: ::sticks fingers in ears:: Lalala, I cant hear you!
Maternity clothes? Yeah in the beginning you cant imagine getting tired of wearing elastic banded pants. I mean they are so comfy! Yeah, chalk another one up for "things I never really thought I would say/believe/think/do and then actually did."
Sleep: Even when I sleep its not restful. Between waking every 3 hours to pee, and then having to switch "sides" sleep is no longer a refuge. I kind of dread going to sleep, because I know I am just going to wake up as tired (or more) than I was before.
Best moment this past week: Finding out that Jake scored an 8/8 on his Biophysical profile, and knowing that he was doing great for my NST. He is obviously not being affected by my crazy blood pressures, thank goodness!
Movement: I am doing kick counts now per my doctor. He is still moving lots at night, and after I eat. I think he moves more than I notice, because its hard to concentrate on it when I am at work. But I got nervous last night because I couldnt remember if he had been active during my shift at work, so I broke out the doppler and he was fine. I am turning into a hypochondriac.
Food cravings: Hmm, really just anything. Not so much cravings as I am just hungry. I eat way too much. I am terrified of how long its going to take to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I am literally praying that things work out so that I can take Jake with me to Turtle patrol. Those hour long walks on the beach multiple times per week will really help with the weight.
Gender: Boy, John "Jake" Aaron.
Labor Signs: Cramping is still on and off. I had one rather painful cramp in the middle of the night the other day. It seems to come and go though. Apparently I have now "dropped" enough that other people can tell. Everyone is now starting to tell me that I have dropped anyway. I know I have, because I am walking like a penguin, and my pelvis feels like its turned out or something. Strange sensation.
Belly Button in or out? Innie, maybe it will stay that way?
What I miss: I miss having normal looking legs and feet. My legs/feet/ankles are so swollen that they are painful. I.E. when you press on them it hurts like they are bruised. And so getting down the on the ground for anything is a little more than uncomfortable. And bending them apparently results in cutting off circulation to my feet. I found this out at work, when I looked down at my tingling feet and realized they were purple as I was changing the little boy I work with. Eep!
What I am looking forward to: Seeing Jake in three weeks give or take. I am so beyond ready for him to be here!
Weekly Wisdom: Bring a book, or a computer to the hospital with you should you need to go. Because triage rooms are BORING, and you dont even get a TV.
Milestones: Less than a month left!

Baby Week 36:
Umm holy crap, thats a beach ball. Thats worse than the pumpkin! I want the pillow back!Baby's skin is getting smooth and soft, his gums are rigid, his liver and kidneys are in working order, and his circulation and immune system are basically good to go. His lungs are the only organs that still need to fully mature, but every day he gets a little closer to breathing on his own.
Oh I forgot to mention, that during the ultrasound on Tuesday the tech told me that he was practicing breathing while she was doing the ultrasound. She also told me that he had a full stomach and bladder which are great signs! Yay Jake, keep on practicing breathing because we want to see you on the outside soon!
