26 weeks and down to double digits!

26 weeks pregnant

How far along? 26 weeks and 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: 18 (eep) pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight at my last appointment.
Maternity clothes? Puh, since 8 weeks. Elastic waists are COMFY!
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well this week. My ribs are still hurting me, and I find that if I lay on one side for too long it starts to bother me more.
Best moment this past week: Kissing my DH at midnight on January 1st 2010, and knowing that we will be welcoming our son this year.
Movement: He is kind of a brat already (-: He will be kicking away for just me, but as soon as I try and let someone else feel him he stops. My mom FINALLY got to feel him kick on New Years Eve, as did my 6 year old niece. He has started waking me up early with his movements.
Food cravings: Dark chocolate chips (frozen)....NOM!
Gender: Boy, John "Jake" Aaron.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Still in, and hoping it stays that way.
What I miss: Being comfortable in my body.
What I am looking forward to: Ordering some things from my "nursery" list that I need to finish the nursery.
Weekly Wisdom: Go to bed early, sleep is your friend.
Milestones: I am technically into the third trimester now. And I am down to double digits, with only 90-some days left.

About the babe:
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
