Yes I know I am bad...shameful even. It feels as though the summer has literally flown by. There are about 3 weeks left until school starts. How did that happen? Crazy I tell you!
Whats new with me you are asking? Well thank you for asking! I have been keeping very busy that's for sure. I and DH have been walking regularly with our local Turtle Patrol. I am walking 3 to 4 days a week until school starts and it has been amazing. It is so wonderful to see the turtle hatchling's and their little tracks heading straight down to the ocean. And still so amazing to see those big "truck tire" tracks of the mama sea turtles as they make their way onto the beach to lay their nests. Here are some pictures from turtle patrol:
And I have also been very busy with the animal rescue. Volunteering at the center every Friday night and walking dogs every Thursday night. And I have also been going on outings with one of my old students. He is an awesome kid, and its been really fun doing different things with him and sometimes his brothers this summer. And of course I have also been taking classes. I took two classes this summer and just finished my last one yesterday. You would think that I would be very excited to have so much school free time ahead of me right? But no, I have to work really hard on my portfolio until my next class starts on September 1st, so boo no carefree month of no-school time for me.
I have a bit of big news that is "in the making" but it is top secret for now. I will be sharing this news sometime in the near future.
I am also planning to try really hard to post updates each week. I cannot manage everyday as I have so obviously shown. But I think I CAN manage once weekly updates. So that's all for now folks!
